Baidyanath Dham Temple, Jharkhand- An Ultimate Peace

Jharkhand was the state of India, which was famous for its 40% of India’s mineral resources. Woodlands and forests occupied around an area of 29% of the state. Jharkhand was the unique blend of commerce, art and culture and tourism. These exceptional qualities made the state a must visit place for tourists like me. It also made me curious to visit the same especially the Baidyanath Dham Temple, Jharkhand who was famous for its ‘Jyotirlingam’ of Lord Shiva. As I was always fond of exploring new places I wanted to see the temple once again after a long time because I had once visited that place during my childhood. The temple was renowned for its specialty of fulfilling the wishes of its devotees.

We planned our tour in the holidays of Christmas as my children had a long vacation that time. After reaching Jasidih, we knew that the Baidyanath Dham was just at a distance of 4 miles. The winter of Jasidih was chilled and we enjoyed a lot staying in Arogya Bhawan which was famous for its massage facilities and that attracted us to stay over there. After the Daasam falls, our journey for Baba Dham Mandir started in a private car which was booked by my husband earlier. The journey was authentic as we passed through lush green farm lands and small hawkers carrying flowers for ‘puja’. We were feeling amazing after reaching the temple which was surrounded by many devotees. The ‘pandits ‘of the temple came and surrounded us to worship Lord Shiva with them. However, since there was already our own ‘pandit’ who had come to receive us, we followed him and did the required ‘puja’ rituals with him.

I could feel the inner peace and a mental satisfaction after doing the ritual and that was the most important thing for a devotee which made the journey fruitful. I was fortunate to visit the place with my husband and kids and received the blessings of Lord Shiva. We even did ‘Shringar ritual’ in the evening, which was meant to fulfill any particular wish. After completing ‘puja’ in Baidyanath Dham Temple, Jharkhand we did some shopping in the local market of Deoghar and moved to the Sri Sri Kalika Maharani temple with our peace of mind and a holistic experience.
