Lower Lake Bhopal: Serenity Galore

Touring the city of Bhopal has been a joy and today we decided to visit the Lower Lake Bhopal as Bhopal is also called the city of lakes. It is sometime also addressed as Chhota Talaab. It along with the Upper Lake forms Bhoj Wetland. The lake was built in the year 1794 for a noble cause that was to beautify the city. We reached the place on time. It is located on the eastern side of the Upper Lake. It does not have any source of fresh water but receives the seepage water from the Upper Lake. The water in this lake is not suitable for drinking purposes as it is very dirty. Being located in the serene surroundings of beautiful hills and the Upper Lake the lake provides a peaceful experience to all its visitors.

The look of the lake is enhanced by the Kamala Garden beside it. We were hungry till the time we had reached the place so we went to a restaurant nearby the lakes. Different types of delicacies can be tasted by us so we were glad to come to such place. My kids Chintu and Montu being adventurous in nature wanted to try out the adventure sports held in the lake. The Tourism Boat Club provides paddle boats and exciting trips which also included sail of speeding motor boats over the Lower Lake.We had clicked many pictures when we were trying the adventure sports there. With such a beautiful and vastly spread lake the city has been successful in attracting adventure lovers and tourists from all parts of the world. We did not have to pay any Entry fees as the entrance to this lake was free. The lake should be regularly cleaned and properly maintained to attract more and more visitors and tourists from every corner of the world.

According to me the place is perfect for everyone including the water enthusiasts and adventure lovers. A visit to the Lower Lake Bhopal is a must if one wants to complete his/her tour of Bhopal. I enjoyed my stay very much and after this we were ready to visit Bhimbetka Caves Bhopal.
