From the Bindu Sagar Lake, we hired a car for moving towards the Brahmeshwar temple Bhubaneswar which is another exotic structure to watch. It is dedicated to the Hindus and is beautifully carved on the inside as well as outside. The temple is really very beautiful and the primary deity is Brahmeswara. It was built in the latter part of the ninth century. The temple is actually dedicated to the Lord Shiva. The temple was built with traditional methods of wood carving. I learnt from a resident that there used to be many inscriptions on the walls of the temple. It was from these inscriptions that the period of construction of the temple was detected. It has many carvings in the inside and beautiful structures depict a sense of beauty in it.

When we visited the place, we found that the temple was standing with its majestic beauty. We were really overjoyed with the beauty and the tall structure of the building. The construction of the temple is that of a typical and unique style with a different structure and there lay sandstone walls, which have different designs in it. The carvings over the door frame contain beautiful flower designs as well as flying figures. There are images of eight directions and guardians.
The prominent structure in the Brahmeshwar Temple Bhubaneswar is made of two buildings which were connected to each other. The assembly hall was the smaller one and known as Jagamohana whereas the larger one or the sanctuary tower located behind the former was known as the Shikhara. I could see the motif of lion head sculptured on the walls of the temple. There were carvings representing many dancers and musicians holding lutes. I heard from another tourist that it was for the first time in Brahmeswar temple that iron beams were used. I could also see many symbolic decorations representing figures similar to that God. I learnt that these were mainly used for motivating believers in meditation. I could also spot many images related to Tantric. There was an image of Chamunda positioned on a dead body.
